His short stories have been published by dozens literary magazines and he was twice awarded the Midwest Fiction Prize from Michigan State University. Professor Diamond’s book of poems Storm Lake Suite is in its third printing. His book of short stories, Street Scenes, was adapted for the stage by the Hollywood director John DiFusco and had a successful six month run in Hollywood. His new novel is Cool Hand in a Hot Fire, published by Daniel and Daniel publishers of McKinleyville, California. His show the legendary “Diamond Mine” was the number one show in Los Angeles and San Francisco for over twenty years. Previous to arriving at Black Hills State University, Professor Diamond had a long and distinguished Broadcasting career with CBS, RKO-General Motion Pictures, Cox Communications, and Westinghouse Broadcasting. He has an alternative Ph.D in Holistic Studies from Columbia Pacific University in California. He received a Master of professional writing from the University of Southern California and took a Master of Arts in English from Northwest Missouri State University.
